LWOT : The World s Greatest Fiction Magazine

Get The Right Match With WriteMatch!

In order to help you become the best writer that you can be, LWOT uses highly-advanced computer technology to match you up with a special writing partner. Together, through the magic of electronic-mail (or "e-mail"), you will lend support by reading, editing, and analyzing each other's work. Scientific testing shows that our patented WriteMatch process will improve your fiction writing by at least seventeen-percent!*

* fourteen-percent in Quebec and Alberta.

Once you fill out the online application form we will feed your information into our advanced super-computer, which is covered in randomly-blinking lights, has two spinning reels, and spits out sheaths of ticker-tape paper. After much clicking and beeping and whirring, you will be matched up with another writer; either someone whose interests are identical to yours, or someone so different that if you were to meet each other in the street, you'd probably, within minutes, be engaged in hand-to-hand combat.

Whatever the case, you will learn, which is the most important thing.

Once you are matched up, we will, with your permission, send you each other's contact information, make a brief introduction, and let you take it from there!

Proved best by test

The extent of your collaboration will be decided by you. Maybe you'll read each other's stories and provide a few notes. Maybe you'll guide each other through three or four drafts, until each story is like the perfectly-cut 2-carat diamond that your girlfriend keeps pointing out each time you walk by that jewelry place in the mall. Or maybe a lifelong friendship will develop, and, on your deathbed, you will, for the first time, meet your writing buddy in the flesh, and it will be a moment of spiritual catharsis that validates your entire existence (and then Mitch Albom will write a bestseller about it).

We seek to provide a safe environment for writers to connect and learn from each other, one on one. If you prefer instead to have your stories read by a wider range of bitter struggling writers, or if you are, yourself, a bitter struggling writer with nothing constructive to contribute, please feel free to visit the Zoetrope Story Studio.

We invite WriteMatch participants to submit their works to LWOT for publication, and we might even be biased towards you, since you're a part of our happy little community.
